How to organize a health-record timeline in CareThread Atlas
Filter health-record events by category, change chronological order and inspect the fields behind each timeline entry.
Choose a view of the question you are exploring
Start with all events to see the available record categories. Then use a category filter to focus the display on the type of entry you want to inspect. Filtering changes the visible timeline; it does not delete records or request new information from the source.
Check the order before reading a sequence
The ordering control switches between newest-first and oldest-first views. The app uses the date available on each resource. A recorded clinical date, a result date and the time something arrived in the app are not interchangeable concepts.
- Check which category filter is selected.
- Confirm the direction of the date order.
- Read the source label and record ID for a relevant event.
- Expand the entry before drawing a conclusion from its position.
Inspect entries that lack a useful date
An undated entry cannot establish its place in a clinical sequence just because the interface must place it somewhere. In the implementation, missing or unparseable dates use a fallback sort value. Look at the expanded object and treat the chronological position of such entries cautiously.
Use the timeline as an organizing view
The expanded entry exposes the original fields returned to this app. The timeline does not edit a provider’s chart, identify causes, or fill gaps in the history. Live record connections still await activation; the public guide explains the implemented navigation.
Questions about this guide
Does changing the sort order update my records?
No. It rearranges the visible entries only.
Why is an undated record at an edge of the timeline?
Entries without a parseable date use a fallback sort value. Their screen position should not be read as a confirmed event date.
